Alan is responsible for much of our pastoral visiting. Having been the go to man for fruit and veg in Barrow, health issues forced a dramatic change of direction and Alan went back to college to study for a degree in Theology and Christian ministry. Alan has many roles including responsibility for our building on Walney, organising pastoral visits and co-ordinating our support for an orphanage in Uganda.
He is married to Hilly, has four children and six grandchildren.
I’m Jonny Harrison. I’ve now lived in Cumbria for nearly 21 years.
I first came to live here because I married local girl, Ros, and started a full time teaching post at Ireleth St Peters School. I moved to a bigger primary school in Newbarns before God decided he had other plans. In 2002 I became part-time youth and schools worker for Spring Mount and my teaching eventually became just music throughout the school. I still currently teach 1 and a half days at school and it has been amazing to see how God has worked all of that out in the fifteen years since.
You see me most Sundays either on the keyboards or speaking from the front. I love Spring Mount and am excited to see what God has in store for us as we move into new places and ministries.
Dad to Joel and Chloe. Foster carer to Corey. It’s been a privilege to be the pastor for the last three years.
I have started to really enjoy running, love reading a good thriller and enjoy (most of the time) watching Liverpool play football.
